High-Temperature Boards

  • Ceramic fibre 1260°C
  • Calcium silicate 1100°C

Where blanket needs support, board stands on its own. Our ceramic fibre board is rigid alumina-silica rated to 1260°C; calcium silicate board, reinforced with fibre and rated to 1000°C, adds strength and shrugs off moisture, mould and warping. Both give a flat, self-supporting hot face at a fraction of the weight of refractory brick.

Applications

  • Furnace and kiln linings
  • Fire-protection and fire-rated panels
  • Back-up insulation behind brick
  • Boiler and heater casings
  • Hot-face partitions and baffles

Advantages

  • Self-supporting — holds shape under light load
  • Non-combustible and dimensionally stable
  • Calcium silicate resists moisture, mould and decay
  • Cuts and machines to size cleanly

Industries

  • Steel & foundry
  • Cement & lime
  • Power generation
  • Construction
