This is the asbestos-free answer for high-temperature sealing. Braided ceramic fibre rope seals furnace and kiln doors, boiler access points and expansion joints, compressing to fill the gap and staying resilient through thermal cycling. The same fibre is woven into tape for wrapping pipes and flanges, cloth for heat shielding — plain or foil-backed — and yarn for stitching and gasketing.
