Woven asbestos tape wraps pipes, flanges and furnace doors. Asbestos cloth serves as heat shielding, expansion-joint material and protective covering, plain or with aluminium foil on one face to reflect radiant heat. Asbestos is a restricted material in Kenya — supply, handling and disposal are subject to regulation, and it is sold on that basis. Our non-asbestos ceramic fibre tape and cloth cover the same duties at up to 1260°C.
