Braided asbestos rope seals furnace and kiln doors, boiler access points and expansion joints, compressing to fill the gap and holding through repeated thermal cycling. It is supplied in round and square profiles from 6mm to 50mm on 5, 10 and 20 kilogram rolls. Asbestos is a restricted material in Kenya — supply, handling and disposal are subject to regulation, and it is sold on that basis. Where the duty allows, our non-asbestos ceramic fibre rope covers the same temperature range.
